Default About to do a clutch/input shaft bearing change 2002 Ram 4.7 any tips?

First time doing any work on a manual transmission, I’m changing the clutch pressure plate throwout bearing and input shaft bearing, and the rear seal of the trans where the universal is, any little tips anybody has or any special tools I may need would be very much appreciated, thank you

Clutch alignment tool would be handy. (or, you can just use the input shaft while you have it out.....) Be sure to at least scuff up the flywheel before installing the new clutch. (I've use a DA body sander in the past..... or block sand it if you don't have air tools.)

I have another question, is the pilot bearing and input shaft bearing the same thing, I thought they were different but somebody told me that people just called them different names and I’m very confused now

Pilot bearing is usually a brass bushing pressed into the transmission end of the crankshaft. Transmission input bearing is usually a ball bearing supporting the input shaft in the front of the transmission in the tranny case.
