Pacesetter long tube headers
Hey guy I just got my long tubes from pacesetter for my Hemi and they look cool as all hell but I noticed a couple things I don't like
Some of the tubes are touching eachother before the collector and I assume that is going to set off my knock sensors so I'm going to spread them apart
The tubes are only welded on the inside of the manifold plate not the outside but the collector is fine so I'm going to weld them on the outside aswell
The gaskets it comes with literally are cardboard so I threw them out and now I'm skeptical about the bolts aswell
Anyone else noticed anything like this? Either way I'm going to use them and can't really complain about the price.

Get some Remflex dead-soft copper, or aluminum gaskets, and a good set of bolts. That will pretty much assure a leak-free installation. Be careful welding the tubes at the flanges, as you don't want the welds to interfere with the bolts.... they are already enough of a pain in the keester.
The OEM multi layer tin ones? I've always had luck with the felpro revised ones or am I out to lunch. Ok thank you I'll look into the better grade 8 bolts
