Default 46re rebuilt 5k miles later no overdrive, need help asap

So I have a problem with my 46re transmission in my 2002 ram 1500 5.9 4x4. I’ll explain as best as i can and what i’ve done to try and resolve this problem. I rebuilt this transmission myself, this was the second time it was rebuilt I got it with it blown. Installed a shift kit along with high quality clutch packs and so on. It was working great, 0 problems until about 5,000 miles later I lost overdrive. The truck would drive fine, shift perfectly up until around 45-50mph the truck would start to jolt and rpms would change erratically as if it were trying to shift into overdrive but changed its mind. i haven’t tried going any faster as i don’t wanna do any further damage. It does this whether overdrive button is on or off and the rpms don’t change either when i press the od button, so that’s how i know overdrive is the problem. The torque converter was rebuilt so i don’t think the tcc is a problem. Sometimes even at cruising speeds around 35mph it feels like its trying to go into overdrive but it drops the rpms significantly n goes right back up but it won’t do this when od is off. I didn’t replace the governor solenoid, governor solenoid pressure sensor and the harness as well as the overdrive and tcc solenoids when i initially rebuilt it so i replaced all of those parts recently thinking it was the problem but i am still having this issue. I assume it’s something electrical but have no idea where to look. My gauge says service 4WD but it has said that for a long time even before this problem arised, could this have caused it eventually?
I have an electronic controlled transfer case if that information helps

The service 4wd is probably a separate issue.

Is your speedometer accurate? It almost sounds like it is trying to shift into O/D too early..... To test if its an electronic problem, disconnect the 8 pin connector, and go for a drive. You won't have any automatic function at all, so, you will have to shift manually, up and down. If you have already changed the electronics though, don't expect it to make any difference.

Ok i figured the service 4wd had nothing to do with it, those street signs that tell you your speed match up with my speedometer so my speedometer is correct it seems. I’ll unplug the connector tomorrow and will update you on what happens thanks

Update: I drove it manually with the case connector disconnected and it drove great other than high rpms which of course it expected, no jolting or hiccups. At this point i believe i could’ve possibly not seated something right or something on the other end has problems such as the male connector that goes into the case connector on the transmission.

Make sure you get the right year electronics for it....... there are differences in the 99 and down, and 2000 and up sensors.

Yes, i have the correct year electronics. I even got a high performance sensor rated for 200psi and a borg warner gov. solenoid. I forget the brand of the harness and tcc/overdrive solenoids but those are correct too.

Had it on the scanner yesterday watching the output shaft rpms and rpms were all over the place. I’m going to replace the speed sensor before i do anything else since it’s a simple job. Should be the speed sensor at the back of the transmission right before the transfer case correct?

Yeah, shouldn't be a sensor on the t-case.
