Default 2005 Ram 1500 hemi - correct Ratio programming

Hey all,

I am looking for a l little Info on the best way to have Ratio programming corrected.
Cruise control works but won’t set at anything above 55mph.

any suggestions would be great.

Nah haven’t changed anything, the tires were on when I bought it, although I have changed the front wheel bearings. This issue was still present before I changed them out.

It would have to be WAY off... as I think cruise should set at anything below about 85 or so??? I think that's a difference you would certainly notice.

Correct, 3rd gen (at least early 3rd gen) CC is good up to 85mph. Thing is, gear ratio doesn't affect the speedo, only tire height. Pinion factor only needs to be altered in response to tire diameter changes. Have you looked to see if you have any codes? Sometimes you'll have a stored code that screws things up. Doesn't happen as often with the later switches asit does with the 02-03's but sometimes there's a fault within the switch itself.

Need a pretty high-zoot scan tool for that. But, any national tire chain should be able to deal with it for you. (for a nominal fee.....)

I don't think that is your issue though.
