Default RE: Headlights too dim - advice for upgrade?

I installed the Nokya Stage II Hyper White's about a month ago, in both the headlights as well as the fogs. It makes a HUGE difference. It does extend the viewing area ahead just a bit (they're 20 watts more than stock bulbs), and lights up the covered area like a spotlight. I was concerned about the wiring with the incresed wattage, but haven't had any problems. The wiring doesn't even get warm, so I don't think there's any concerns.
Here is the guy I bought mine from: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOKYA...spagenameZWDVW
No...I don't know him, and don't get any special pricing for recommending him. He was just a very fair seller, as far as pricing and shipping were concerned. He does offer "discounted" shipping when you order more than 1 item. I contacted him before hand, and told him that I needed 1 set of the 9007's and one set of the 9006's. He said no problem, I bought them using "buy it now", and he sent me the discounted (shipping) total. I got the lights within a few days. I am EXTREMELY happy with them, expecially considering the price compared to bulbs in the auto parts store.

I installed a set of Sylvania Silver Stars yesterday and have been very pleased with their results.

I put the Sylvania Silverstars as well on fog lights and headlights and I love them. They are white light but really bright. I believe as close to HID's without buying HID. You can pick them up at wal-mart for about $40 a pair. both fog and headlights.

i too am having the same problem. i've been thinking about the halo projector headlight kit, but haven't seen a clear picture w/ the kit on the ram for me to know if they'll look good or if the lights make a difference. if anyone has a pic or has'em on they're ram i'd like to hear what you think.

Adjust them down and you'll see a dramatic improvement. If you buy brighter bulbs, you'll just end up seeing the high beams of everyone you meet.

I don't have a picture but here is a link to somebody who did put these on their truck. https://dodgeforum.com/m_332649/tm.htmI am assuming that these are the ones that you are talking about. I did install a set on my ram, but I couldn't figure out how to wire the halo lights. I think that they look awesome, the trouble that I am having is that the set that I bought does not have any place to make adjustments so the low beams only shine about 15-20 feet infront of the truck and I can't see beyond that when I'm driving at night. I think that I am going to fidget with them some to try and make them work.

Gang...I agree with all about the substandard headlights. I'm not to happy with the beams on my truck either. In the last 6-months this is about the 5th or 6th time I've seen this subject posted. Maybe this should be a topic that we send to Dodge customer service with all current and past threads attached. Why should we have to take the hit to upgrade a brand new vehicle? Besides that its a safety issue... Any thoughts?

The stock headlights on my 2005 Ram 1500 are pathetically dim - not sure how they could field a vehicle with such useless high beams.

I'd like to imporove the output of the headlights to brighten the road in front of me and am wondering if there are some aftermarket bulbs or headlights that would fit the bill. I see posts and ads talking about aftermarket lights that "look like HID' s" - I don't want something that looks like something else solely for the sake of aesthetics, I want something that actually works in getting more light on the road. Any suggestions? I'd love to just be able to buy some bulbs and drop them in and solve my problem, but I'm a bit skeptical that I can get more light on the road by merely swapping bulbs and not changing wiring or something.

Thanks in advance.

I would guess "Dim" headlights is too subjective for anyone to take a complaint seriously. Most probably don't upgrade. Mine are just as good (and better than most) as any other vehicle I've owned over the last 27 years.
