If it's leaking, it needs to be replaced. (the sensor itself.)

I think your initial diagnosis was a leak at the oil filter. Is it possible that leak is from somewhere else and getting on the filter? Try getting everything wiped down, start up the engine and watch for a leak. Identifying the source is critical.

Yes okay understood now. Should i go with a parts store or dealership ? Im budget sensitive.

Yes my origional diagnosis was a leaking oil filter. I did my inspection for a gasket stuck behind.
reseated a brand new filter strap wrech tight . I ran it a little bit may 10 miles or so.
that was a day or so ago. Everything looks clean still. I think ill take out to the big road and haveAnother look. I dont like having the filter so tight. My oil level is perfect .

Well okay. So ive put down 15 tp 25 miles mixed speeds and RPMS.
My oil filter is wrenched over tightened.. But oil level is as it was when i left perfect.
And oil filter and surrounding area is dry and clean.

Does this mean the matting surface has high and lows ? Or something else ?

Do you see oil leaking anywhere anymore? If the filter area is not leaking, leave it as is. There is nothing to gain in loosening it at this point. It being tight is not going to cause an issue.

I have worked in dealerships, independent shops, and ran my own shop for a while. The economy sucked when I was running my own, so, that didn't last. At one point, I trashed my back working on my own projects..... to the point that I gave up walking for a couple months. That truly sucked. (and hurt like hell. ) Physical therapy got me back walking, and at that point, I transitioned into the IT field. Been doing that ever since. I still have a nice collection of tools out in my garage. But, due to health reasons, I don't do much mechanic work any more. If I have someone to work with, it makes it a LOT easier. Been drafting my grandkids when I have something that I actually HAVE to do. Or talk one of my buddies into coming over to play. My granddaughter actually started helping out in the garage when she was around 8. She actually LIKES playin' out there with me. Not sure if it's the work she enjoys, or, spending time with grandpa.

For the oil pressure sensor, the parts store fellers should work fine.
