Cold Start Issues, Have to feather acceleration pedal
Hi All,
I have been having issues starting my 2005 dodge ram 1500 5.7L for cold starts, primarily in cold weather. I have to feather the gas pedal and even then doesn't always crank over. Starter just keeps going and it tries to start but just doesn't quite go without gas pedal down. Once started, it is good for 6-8 hours until the issue reoccurs (intermittently).
I have cleaned grounds, inspected fuse box terminals bottom and top, replaced the crank shaft sensor, EGR Valve, battery and starter recently, checked fuel pressure, and just visually inspected accelerator pedal position sensor.
I have no idea where to go next as far as diagnosing this goes... any thoughts for what to try next would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, thank you for the idea. I gave the valve a scrub with cleaner and toothbrush then wiped out with rag. There was no gummed up resin, almost looked like the previous owner had cleaned it.
I was thinking maybe I could disassemble fuel rail and visually inspect for leaks? Any other thoughts? Thanks again
