Default Leaf Spring Shackle Help

2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab RWD
replaced leaf spring shackles 3 times, once with drop shackles and twice with oem shackles and when springs are under load (with the truck on the ground) the shackle hits the slacks bracket. Can someone please explain why?
pic is from old shackle. But all new shackles do the same thing.

Springs have probably settled some since new, so, they are longer.... Does the truck seem to squat more than you think it should? Are those still stock springs?

Bought them offline. Truck sits both normal just looking at the truck on flat ground. Truck was lowered when I got it and I'm trying to put back to factory hight.

Did either of the frame mounts get moved? If not, only thing I can think of, would be the springs are too long.

No frame mounts moved. Everything is welded in and in shock locations. To lower the truck the guy had a leaf taken out. Did nothing to the front. I guess you could call it a reverse leveling. I measured the replacement springs and got Arch measurement of 63 1/4. Which from the part store looking up new springs that's the correct measurement.

I'm not really sure what you should do about that..... shorter springs seems like it would be the answer, all else being stock.....

Dumb question, which end is front and which end is rear? And does it matter which is left and which is right?

I think it if was installed backwards, the axle wouldn't be in the correct position. If the axle mounts to the center of the spring though, it likely doesn't matter which way it goes in. Left and right don't matter either.
