Default Wheel bearing questions

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 and it was bought from the dealership in 03 with after market wheel's and tires. It has 20 in rims but my door sticker says it came with 17th. I bought the truck from my dad a few years ago and all in all it's been a pretty good truck. However recently I had to change the wheel bearings in the front. It seemed to fix my problem but four months later my bearings seem to be going bad again. My question is because of the bigger wheel's should I have ordered different bearings? I got the ones on it from Amazon and just noticed it doesn't have an option in my garage for 20s. So do I need to order special wheel bearings, rotors, tierods? Or will just factory items work with the larger wheel's? Any info appreciated

If you buy cheap bearings, you can expect to replace them again soon. You want Timkin, or National. (someone else may have other suggestions as well.) Gotta make REAL sure to torque the nuts to the proper value as well, otherwise, you get premature failure.

Concur with heyyou's comments.
Rockauto has some wheel bearings with lifetime replacement warranty, and they are less expensive than the auto parts store brands with one year warranties.
Whoever you buy from, rec calling them and asking about warranty. Most are limited warranty, and you need to find out what the limit is and how you document correct installation and service.
You asked about some other parts, how big are your tires and where are you driving your truck?

Hub bearings are the same for 17" or 20" wheels as well as 2wd and 4wd. Buy a quality bearing, not the $20 special on Rockauto. Timkens still seem to hold up well despite their sale abroad.
