So i want to add the charger police searchlight to my 3rd gen ram because... Well i want a search light and I think it'd look neat. Or is it so much of a pain to drill though the pillar it'd be worth making a remote searchlight mounting bracket that screws in near the hood.

 

Watch out for wiring harnesses that may run up the A-pillars.

 

Well that's a given. In-fact I'd be concerned if there was no wiring there.

 

At one time, I found a Roof-Mount spotlight, that had a separate control the mounted wherever you really wanted it. Kinda like a power mirror switch. Don't recall where I saw it though...... been quite some time.

 

i saw those but i didn't like the roof mounting. If there was a mount for it near the hood I'd go for it. Something like this but for a searchlight pardon the small image. https://www.rightchannelradios.com/c...m-cb-radio-kit more pictures here.

 

Could likely put it ON the hood, or the fender, since it wouldn't have a mechanical linkage going anywhere.
