2007 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 hemi lost oil pressure then motor won't crank.
All,
Hopefully someone else has had this issue. I was towing my camper the other day and the truck lost oil pressure then died. It wouldn't crank like the engine was locked up. Ended up getting towed back to the house 93 miles. Then took my older Dodge on the trip. I just got home and went to see what was up with the truck and figured hey why not try again, in my mind I was in for a rebuild. The truck cranked slow and was hard to crank. Then it just fired up. Runs smooth with a small tick.

A gauge indication followed by engine shutdown is cause for concern.
If low oil pressure was caused by engine wear, then it would be constant vice intermittent.
I'm thinking one of two causes; electrical, or, clogged oil passages/filter that cleared themselves out.
Rec check all battery grounds. Also check them for flexibility as they can deteriorate under the insulation.
Clogged oil passages doesn't explain the shutdown though.
