Simple ball joint replacement prep Q ?

Pre penetrating oil a few days ahead of removing lower upper ball joints .
would help make things easier ?

Just like. leaf spring nuts n bolts helped out too pre lube .

 

You can. Personally I think all penetrating oils are -- well -- no pun intended, snake oil. I don't think i've ever seen an oil able to creep into a rusted fastener. Though it helps immensely as soon as you can break them free.

 

Certainly can’t hurt.

I just replaced mine - 150,000 miles, original equipment, Denver area its whole life. PB Blaster made me feel good, watching it bubble, but it didn't penetrate.

 

If you tap on the fasteners in question a bit, it helps.
