Is it still misfiring? That may make it feel like you describe. Also, do you feel that it should have downshifted climbing the hill?

Well, before replacing the O2 sensor, there was a distinct misfire, whereas you could feel the truck ramdomly jerking. But this time, it drove fine on hills, curves, etc., except for this one steep hill, but there wasn't a distinct jerky motion. It was more of a vibration type of feeling or a sputtering and when I gave it more gas to get up the hill, it seemed like the truck didn't respond like it should have. It felt like it was holding back and the rpm's kept rising and didn't downshift until I let off the gas. Once I got to the top, it rode fine all the way back, or at least it seemed that way.

I'm heading out there now to give a look. It hasn't thrown any new codes for now, but again, I just reset everything just before the last ride by disconnecting the battery. I'm still wondering if the computer is trying to adjust to the new O2 sensor and maybe the hill threw it for a loop.

It was an NTK/NGK O2 sensor. If I remember correctly, you had recommended that brand or a denso. The truck seemed to run and idle a lot smoother after the install, except for that one incident.

Ok, thats the correct brand. If it only happened once, might just be a fluke. If it happens more often, gonna have to dig a little deeper.

Just took the truck for another drive, not too hilly, but it ran good. Hopefully it is a fluke. But in the mean time, here's a question - how long do the wires that connect to the coils last. I can't find any information on them. My truck has almost 277k miles on it and I am wondering if they might be getting brittle, same as ignition spark plug wires would on the older trucks.

Power feed and control wires for the coils? Those last pretty much forever. Rats and other critters aside.

If they actually carry spark energy, replacing them would be a good idea.

Finally got a chance to look over the wires and they look good. Now that I've driven the truck a while, it is still running rough at times and finally pulled a code, but this time not P0151 - it is now pulling a P0155 code, still pointing at the O2 sensor B2 S1, which was already replaced.

I tried looking at the manual I have and did some research online, but cannot find a wiring diagram for that sensor so that I can try and trace the wiring to see if it is broken someplace. The mechanic stated usually it's a wire issue. Tried getting up into the truck, but all I can see is the sensor and the wiring going up over the trans. Not helping to trace it to see if there is any broken or worn wires in the harness leading to the sensor.

If anybody has a suggestion or a wiring diagram that would help trace this problem down, it would be appreciated.

Have a look here for wiring diagrams.
