3rd gen 4.7 small ticking
i have a 2002 1500 4.7L and there is this small ticking noise very very tiny but i can still hear it it sounds like it’s coming from bottom of engine anyone have any clue or is this just normal
Do you hear that same ticking louder at cold start? Usually it's the lifters, but the ticking should subside once they prime with oil. I run 0W20 full syn, so oil delivery is quicker to the upper reaches during cold start.
Needless to say, keep your oil level up. Check it and top it off every week or two if losing oil.

There are videos for replacing broken manifold bolts. I recommend you get the wheel and fender well off and truck front end on jack stands. 4 jack stands is better than 2. Finesse the bolt out and avoid using brute force. You've got to break the rust bond before putting any torque on the bolt.
Do you feel certain that this is the only leak? The flange connection just forward of the cats is good? It should be unless someone has put a wrench on the flange bolts.
