I had a 4.7 for three years and it ticked more than my buddies 5.7. Could be worn timing chain guides but really, anything is just conjecture at this point.

Exhaust leak and weak lifters can cause ticking.
Unlikely that the noise is a serious problem, or originating from engine bottom end, if that is your concern.

Do you hear that same ticking louder at cold start? Usually it's the lifters, but the ticking should subside once they prime with oil. I run 0W20 full syn, so oil delivery is quicker to the upper reaches during cold start.

Needless to say, keep your oil level up. Check it and top it off every week or two if losing oil.

I recently discovered my 5.7l had an exhaust leak caused by a broken manifold bolt on the passenger side. You could see it from the bottom if you got under it.

There are videos for replacing broken manifold bolts. I recommend you get the wheel and fender well off and truck front end on jack stands. 4 jack stands is better than 2. Finesse the bolt out and avoid using brute force. You've got to break the rust bond before putting any torque on the bolt.
Do you feel certain that this is the only leak? The flange connection just forward of the cats is good? It should be unless someone has put a wrench on the flange bolts.
