Default Trans Issue

Hi All... I changed the Shift Solenoid Block pack and the TRS plate.
what seem like a easy but messy repair,,, now,, when I go to start from a cold engine
it doesn't go into reverse right away... I have to sit in park for about 20 sec then it will go into gear I believe it does it for (D) drive also .. can anyone think of what made this happened.. I'm thinking possibly something didn't line up for the fluid to star pumping right away in the valve body.. any help would be appreciated..btw it did remedy the shift in gear while parked during cold.

Sometimes, one of the o-rings for the filter doesn't come out, and when you install the new filter... it doesn't seat properly, as that o-ring is in the way. Aside from that, I don't know.

If you still have the old filter, check and see if the o-ring is on it.

If you are talking about the flat trans filter, make sure it is flush with the valve body before tightening the mount screw. Push straight up when installing and wiggle it like a steering wheel to get it to seat properly. I'll confess that I use the old o ring.
Are you getting any codes?

I tried to remove this seal but didn't try very hard to try to remove it..but I am wondering if I did disrupted it enough to disturb the integrity
time stamp 4:43 shows the seal
I did leave it in.. and if anyone can help identifying the part name (Adapter Housing Seal??) k I think..is this a dealer item only??
