Default E-brake light flashing

'06 Mega Cab 4x4. So at random times the e-brake flashes and dings. It may come on once or twice on a 20 mile trip and then it may be a few days before it comes on again. When I changed the front brakes, I noticed uneven wear on the passenger side pads, so I changed out the flex line and caliper hoping this would solve the problem. It did not. Anyone have this problem? Any advice on a fix?
Thanks

E-brake operates on the rear brakes. Might be a bad switch, or just out of adjustment.

Probably should put this in original post. The reason I went through all the changes on the front brake was I read that the light could come on if it sensed low fluid or uneven pressure on the brakes. I don't know if this is true or not. Anyone know?
