Default Alternator went out, battery died, won't start

So I have a 2006 dodge ram 1500 with the 4.7 v8. The other night my alternator went out and battery died on my way home. The truck actually shut off pulling into the driveway.
The next day I changed the alternator, and the battery. After that there is a red light flashing on my instrument cluster and my check gaugess light is on. When I try to start the truck nothing happens. Please help

Moving this to third Gen Ram section for ya.

Does the engine turn over at least? Do you get a click? Do the dash lights come on?

Battery, starter relay, starter, ground, truck not in park.
Do you have a multimeter to check battery voltage? Make sure you have at least 12.7v. See if the starter is drawing current when key is turned.
Did you get any sparks when installing the battery?
