Default 03 ram 2500 5.7 hemi 5speed throttle sticking?

well fellas just when I thought I had everything fixed, new wheel bearings, broken ground, and busted leaf springs here I am again..... so the truck has done this intermitally in the past but it always went away so I figured it was a computer issue. BUT it seems as thought my throttle is sticking. when I shift (5 speed Manual) the rpms do NOT drop at all to the point if I want them to drop I have to hit the brakes to make them drop. i also came to a light and the rpms hung up around 15-1700 rpm until I came to a full stop and then the rooms finally went down. I have cleaned the throttle body also checked for air leaks and nothing. any help is appreciated.

Do you have a throttle cable or is fly by wire?

I believe there was a recall for the throttle cable. But not sure, I would take the cable off at the throttle body and move it by have and see if it sticks. And do the same with the pedal and cable. You may have a sticky pedal or cable.

Throttle by wire. The cable from the pedal goes to a sensor somewhere. Follow the cable, and you will find it.

Okay the throttle position sensor has 3 wires going to the sensor on the throttle body, but you need a lever to change the position of the sensor. The new Ram trucks have Fly by wire. No Cables. The Fly by wire system has an apps system no cables. So if you don't have a cable on the the back of the pedal (Gas) then you don't have a fly by wire system.

I know the Dakota trucks do the same with clutches. My son truck does the same, Just make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks. And if it idle comes down after a few seconds. I wouldn't worry about it.
