I have a issue i hope someone can help with i have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 4.7l 4x4 and when i turn the wipers on the go up but wont return back down and the motor stays running does anyone have any idea what might be causeing this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you for your time

 

It could be that your wiper arms have stripped at the pivot. I'd rec that you remove the wiper arms from the pivots, and see if you can find damage. The pivots each have a key way for aligning the wiper arm. Both the pivot and the wiper arm also have grooves that line up to keep the arm in place.
You should see a small, square latch at the base of the wiper arm. Pull that up towards the wiper blade to un-latch the wiper arm. You may have to push down slightly on the mount to relieve tension from the spring in the arm.
