I’ve read all around the internet and the manual but still am unclear if my truck should have a 4wd indicator light or not.. the below picture is the only place in the manual that I saw that it mentioned having a 4wd light but it refers to a service 4wd light..

Does yours have a light? FYI, as far as I can tell, your truck must fit these criteria’s for it to be applicable to mine:
2004 ram 2500 with a 4wd floor shifter

Yes there should be a light when you switch it into 4x4, the switch on the transfer case could be bad or your light could be burned out.
