header install ?
today was my day off so i called my exhaust guy to see if he could squeeze me in. He said yeah and it wouldn't take more than 4 hours this time. still the 260 which is no big deal. That was at 8:30 this morning, i just got off the phone with him and he said he ran into a problem. something about he needs extensions for the back two 02 sensors and he wants me to go down there to take a look. The way he made it sound was he'll need to keep the truck overnight which is not an option at all for me. I'm honestly not sure if he even started on it he just said he was reading the instructions that came with the kit and decided to call me. haha i hope he did put them on already so i can drive around with open headers for a day (to **** people off) we'll see what happens though... *fingers crossed* for no line of bull****
just got back from the shop and the problem was that he needs at least a foot extension for the 02 sensor on the drivers side. Can the guys with headers take some pictures of their sensors and the whole setup in general for me!?!?! I'm kinda mad it took him so long to call just for that. It was on the rack when i got there (he said mine was the only morning job) so it took him 4 hours to read/figure out a paragraph worth of instructions... I get another discount though so he dropped it down to 100 bucks. He does awesome work, i just don't know where his head is at sometimes.
My Dynatechs came with extensions. Which headers are these?
I remember having to modify the connectors they came with though. There is a tab in the wrong place on the new ones that need to be snipped with some dykes.

they're just longtube pacesetters. my "kit" just came with the headers gaskets bolts and some rubber sleeve. i paid 250 for them. You get what you pay for i guess but i was just curious to see what the hype was about and i still don't know what they'll be like after there on... Some dude at autozone said i can buy another universal 02 sensor and cut the wires off and butt connect them. I really don't want to do that in fear of the check engine light going on a few weeks later. any insight on my problem would be helpful!!!
The factory Hemi cats flow very well. High flow converters are only needed if you are under hard load all the time or running flat on the floor constantly like racing. Much research has been done on this issue and the really honest quality high flow cat companies will tell you the same thing. If they don't you need to find another company to talk too. Just do a web search for high flow cats and you'll see what I'm talking about
