I have a 2009 2500 4X4 quad cab and the rear differential is bend because an accident. I would like to find an entire rear end at a salvage yard and just switch it out with mine. I know the rear has 3.73 gears but I was wondering what other years of dodge rear ends with the same gear ratio would be compatible with my 2009.

 

Local junkyards should have an interchange manual, and should be able to tell you what years would fit.

 

If it's a Cummins it has a AAM 11.5 if it's a Hemi it has the AAM 10.5. One from a 2003-2009 model will fit.
