If both heater hoses are hot, that tells me the heater core has hot coolant flowing thru it. This sounds like a blend door issue.

It may have coolant flowing thru it, but, if the air pocket is large enough, not enough of the core will transfer heat to the air passing through it.

I am thinking its a blend door issue because the black box behind the glove box gets warm to touch.

I found this video on youtube and I am pretty sure this is the problem

One hose would be cooler than the other though, or both wouldn't be hot. If both are hot, that's almost a sure thing that the heater core is working. OP wouldn't be saying this....

If the core isn't transferring the heat away from the coolant, the air will be cold, and both hoses will be about the same temp. Of course, if the blend door is broken, you would get the same symptoms.
