Default 02 sensor codes

I have a 2004 ram 1500 with 5.7 hemi. Truck pulled code P0133 which I cleared went tp pick up a new sensor. On the way the engine icon came on -no surprise - checked the code when I got home. This time it pulled code P2096. ?
Cleared that code drove it again ust to see if it would repeat - nope it pulled P0133 again.

WTH - anyone know why codes are changing?

Replace the front O2 sensor(s?) Do both if there are two. NTK or Denso sensors only please. Clear the codes, and drive it. That *should* take care of the problem.

What codes is a good question.
0133 could indicate a rich condition, 2096 usually means lean. Alternating between these two codes could mean a fuel delivery problem. What I would do in your situation:
- clean the injectors with an inline injector cleaner. Not a product that you put in the gas tank.
- After injectors are clean, pull each plug and note condition. Keep track of plug condition in a log or take pictures. If plugs are older than 10k miles replace with new. Cylinders 7 and 8 are no fun so I'd just replace those anyway. Clean any plugs you are going to reuse before re-installing them.
- Clear the codes and drive
If you do this, let us know how the plugs looked. Plugs tell you a lot about what's going on with your engine and exhaust.

Thanks for the info.
A little bit of background. I replaced the orginal 5.7 (dropped a valve seat on cyl 1 & wiped out the piston) with a same year 5.7 from a Ram 1500. The replacement engine was refurbed - sensors, heads etc. all replaced with new.
Engine started and ran fine with the exception of throwing code P0133 after 50 miles.
Replaced the bank 1 sensor 1.
After replacing that 02 sensor and after 100 miles the CEL came on. I assumed (wrongly) that it was the same sensor. I read the code this morning & found it was not he same code. It was P0153, bank 2 sensor 1.

It seems I should have taken HeyYou advice.
But if I have any further issues I will take your advice as well
Will let everyone know how it goes

Thank you all!!!!

Checked for exhaust leaks & I'd say 99% sure there are no leaks. Checked wires and again no issue. I pulled all plugs & attached 2 photos which are similiar to the rest of the plugs. 1st photo is from bank 1 & second photo is from bank 2. If anything that I see is a fouled plug because its running rich.
I did not cean injectors & plugs are new Champion copper tip.

I had a persistent o2 sensor issue with my 04 QC 1500 5.7, it wasn't immediately repeatable - so a couple weeks would pass until it flagged again. I replaced the sensor, twice, which probably was unnecessary. Then I wised up and swapped left/right to see if the problem followed the sensor - it didn't. Then I pulled the harness off both ends and checked for continuity - no problem with that test. Concluded it was most likely the computer, so I replaced it. That fixed it, but I needed to have the dealer program it.

Yea that thought has been in the back of my mind that it might be the computer.
More background on the truck - I am the second owne rof the truck. Orginal dealer had the truck (Larmie) dressed out with pin stripeing, MOPAR graphics on the rear quarter panel plus other cosmetic additions to make it look like I guess like a ThunderRoad. Truck has all the bells & whistles that were available in '04.
The orginal owner put in a computer chip - Jet Performance - cold air intake, deleted the Catts. He had it for 4 years & I have owned since. & its never been out of the deep South - no rust.
Truck ran very good no problem until it dropped a valve seat.
Next step I guess is to do a live data stream & think about removing that Jet chip
