Default Frame rotting out.. no fix?

Well my frame has a big rust hole at about half way between the tires.
Had took the truck in for a completely unrelated issue. See antifreeze lost post of mine.

Apparently frame rot in trucks of all makes and even newer ones have an "issue" with this.

Any advice besides a new truck?

If there is a big hole in the frame there, likely the rest of the frame ain't in the best shape either..... Swapping it out is a fair bit of work. Even if you could find one in decent condition. Most shops won't fix the frame......

There are welding shops out there that fix frames. I'd shop around and see who can do it. I had a 1976 Pontiac Ventura fixed back in the day, he did a good job and that car lasted a long time.

I do frames at my shop, I’m a certified welder. I’ve done many many frames and some that are real bad…there’s always a way to fix it’s just how much are you willing to spend

Well you gave me some hope. Not worrying about the cost atm. Guessing it is cheaper than a new truck..
