Default Coils not firing

Hello all. Got a situation that has everyone I've asked about, confused. I have a 02 ram 4.7, run fine since owned. Stopped one day to fill up, when I started it to leave, the truck ran like crap. Shop guy stopped by and discovered, the 4 front coils stopped firing. We swapped them around, basically the front half of my engine took a crap. Anyone heard of or dealt with this? If so, where can I begin?

So I understand the troubleshooting you've done, you moved the front four coils (#1,2,5,6) to the rear, and put the rear coils (#3,4,7,8) on the front? How did you check coil operation? Are you confident that injectors are good?
What I would do:
- make sure the plugs are good
- check resistance for each coil (primary resistance is .6-.9 Ohm, secondary is 6,000-9,000 Ohm)
- check engine ground is clean and tight
- check output of alternator at least 13.5v
