Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve. 2003 didn't have it, 04-08 1500's did but 04-08 25/3500's did not.

There is a metal "hose"/tube that bolts to it & the other end goes to the intake & is clipped into place. How do I get that hose/tube to go back in so it can be clipped back i n place?

Push it back in until it's flush, that clip is there to hold it in place like so:

Default 2004 ram 2500 5.7 hemi

I did check that very first thing and after further investigation there seems to be a freeze plug right there and there's a pin whole where it's shooting out fluid the transmission lines run right next to the block right there it's pretty rusty around that area so I'm hoping I can get that one out and clean up the area and put new one in there &probably wouldn't get away with jbwelding it would I lol I'm guessing he ran it hot as hell to blow a pin hole in it well he won't be driving that truck ever again that's for sure after I get freeze plug out take a magnet and get any chips out I'm guessing would be the best thing huh

I am just not a fan of the steel freeze plugs..... Dodge used them quite a bit, and I have seen MANY of them rust out..... and leak. Probably more due to neglected maintenance of the cooling system, than anything else.
