No, not that I could find, but I've always had trouble with the PDF one's. Got everything else I need from it. Just not the cover.

Look in the engine section, under timing chain R&R..... maybe something in there. I suspect torque sequence on the water pump bolts is relatively important, probably not quite so much on the cover itself.

Looked again, nothing for either one. 5.7 engine section begins on pg 5761, if anyone else wants to give it a shot.
I agree the sequence here is important, but not covered? Can't be, right? No info found on-line either.

If it is important, then I would expect they would cover it.... since they don't, I would just use the good ol' standard alternating pattern, like you do for lug nuts. Toque to spec, once they are all in there, retorque all of 'em, call it a day.

Not anything but a torque value in the 2004 service manual.

(1) Install water pump and mounting bolts. Tighten mounting bolts to 24 N·m (18 ft. lbs.).

It's odd that there isn't a torque sequence for this but oh well.
And removal and install of the trany pan is equivalent to surgery. Needless to say, I didn't know about the removal sequence of the trany pan so I zipped that off without a second thought. Guess I'll have to wait and see if I warped it.
Thanks again.
