My 2004 1500 5.7l Ram fuel pump won’t run

Default My 2004 1500 5.7l Ram fuel pump won’t run

I’ve tried jumping it and it runs strong but won’t run by itself or move fuel or pressure to the fuel rail when jumped what do I do

I’ve run into this a few times at my shop, ive just run a jumper wire to a keyed on vacant fuse point in fuse block, done it in Durango’s, dakotas, and rams, same thing, ram single jumper wire, but I wire in correctly to fuse block, I don’t splice it, everything soldered and shrink wrapped

So wait... you say it won't even push fuel to the rail when jumped? That is a confusing sentence...

it has a non replaceable filter inside it. it could be clogged. put a hose on the output and pour gas into the hose and with an air hose, blower the fuel lightly in and out .
see if the fuel comes out dirty from the filter...
mine in picture was clogged from charcoal canister
