Default Loud Rattle at idle

Hey everyone I recently bought an 04 ram 3500 6speed manual with the 5.9 and 68000 miles. Recently at idle a very loud rattle has developed mostly when I come to a stop after i’ve driven for a little bit if I increase rpm even just 200 more the rattle stops but when they drop it comes back. All advice appreciated, excited to finally be part of the Cummins community been wanting one of these trucks since I was a kid.

Crawl under the truck with a rubber mallet, start whacking on the exhaust in various places, likely a heat shield coming loose.

Have you tried pinpointing it as it happens? Like having someone in the cab holding the brake while it idles and you get underneath? Don't do this with the ex-wife, mother in law, or anyone that owes you money.
