Default Engine swap for my father's ram 1500

hello? I am a person living in Korea. While my father is in the hospital, I want to repair the engine of my father's ram vehicle, but it looks like the engine needs to be replaced.
I want to buy a used engine in the US and do an engine swap.
I have a question, my father's car is a 2008 model, is it ok to buy a used 2007 engine? There's a lot of price difference.
We will write a picture of the vehicle and part of the VIN code.
The car is 2008 DODGE RAM 1500 ST QUAD CAB 4X2 with semi hemi 4.7 engine. Since there are not many 4.7 engines, it is difficult to find information, so I inevitably ask a question. Also, below is the content written in the sale article that is being considered for buying used "Used"
Engine Assembly BOTH VALVE COVERS NG,UTR, XTHB, 4.7L, VIN P (8TH DIGIT)
Part No:~316068807"
I would like to purchase these 2007 4.7 engines, please help.
I'm not good at English and this is my first time posting on this forum. If there is any mistake or rudeness, I apologize in advance, and if there is a point, I will correct it immediately.
PS. each cylinded has two plugs.. ons up one down.

Probably not. Quite a bit changed from 2007 to 2008.... dual plugs, higher compression, etc.

Welcome to DF! Your english works just fine. Maybe not perfect, but, hey, it's forum, we don't expect perfect.

No, if it's a 2008 4.7 you have to find a 2008 to 2013 4.7 engine to replace it.

How do you know the engine needs to be replaced? The 4.7 is a reliable engine, it may just need a few repairs.
