ive looked for manuals on here and found some factory service manuals in the threads but i have a question about the 4x4. It reads on the dash as in 4 lock would this be because of the front actuator or is there a sensor in the transfer case as well that is telling it it’s actually still in 4 lock. My other truck is 2wd so ive never really had experience with a 4x4 but i took if for a drive and it definitely feel like its being bogged down. Id like to shift it manually but I can’t seem to find information on shaft location relative to mode selection

On the older trucks, there was a switch on the CAD on the front axle, that the actuator would trigger. But, those were solid axle fronts...... on yours, I am just not sure.

i really wish i had another older one lol ive seen kits you can get to manually lock or unlock the front axle giving you the option for 2wd low which is really cool anyway thank you for your help and happy new year! I hope to get this figured out im persistent and ive fixed everything on my vehicles myself so i dont want this one to beat me

Crawl under there and have a look at what ya got. Post pics if you can. If there are wires going to it, that is likely the switch..... but, as yours is electronically controlled.... ya just never know.

I do believe posi-lock actually makes a kit for the newer trucks as well......
