I have a 2006 Ram 1500 4x4 with stock 17x8 wheels. Currently has 265/70r17 tires on it.

I want to put 35/12.5r17 tires on it.

Got a 2.5” level, as well as 2” wheel spacers on all 4 wheels.

I can live with slight rubbing/trimming a bit, I’m mostly curious about the tire and wheel combo.

I should also mention I do plan on getting wider rims in the near future (maybe 17x9). I’d only be running the stock 17x8s with the 35s for a couple months with no heavy off roading or airing down.

What do y’all think?

Cheers!

Really need wider rims for the 12.5 width of the 35s. It will roll beads easily, especially if you air them down off roading.
