Shouldn't I have continuity between fuel pump relay cavities number 30 and 87 at all times? Not the the pins on actual relay but the female side on Ipm

 

Nope. 30 will have power at all times. 87 gets power thru the relay when it is triggered.

What part don't you understand? Continuity? They are jus saying that 87 is connected to the fuse in the ipm.

BTW, just for completeness, they are referencing a 5 pole relay - it looks like this diagram. But not important because they say they are not using that 87A output.

 

First thank.you for your time. Now I am aware of what continuity is as well as it being a 5 prong relay. I simply didn't understand the wording. I am fighting a battle for the better part of a month and still have gotten nowhere

 

I have continuity between hot pin (30) on fuel pump relay and the fuel pump fuse. I have 12 v at fuse and hot pin(30). Hi However pin 25 doesn't read 12 v when key is on. At most 3.5v fuel pump never primes

 

Share the page that shows what p25 connects with. Are you using a 2003 Factory Service Manual? I have a 2004, not sure it'd be identical.

While you showed the relay contact 85, you didn't share the portion of the circuit that actually feeds 85, which his on pages BW-10-43 and BW-10-44.

Where are you testing "ignition out" ?
