Stand by the exhaust next time you start it after the truck has been sitting. See if you tell if exhaust is rich or has oil in it. If oil, could be leaky valve seals.

It does smell rich and hitting gas pedal to help start also makes me think rich. When this ordeal started I pulled the fuel rail to see if injectors were leaking and didn’t see anything. Replaced them anyway with aftermarket injectors and didn’t fix the problem so I put the oem ones back in. Thinking about checking if they’re leaking again. Plugs look perfect by the way
