I took off the dash peice for the radio area and I see all the plugs for the heat and air, 4wd, etc but there is a random little plug that isn't pluged into anything. Just wondering what it is for?

It's right by itself below the tag? It's just plugged into a plastic piece? Anyone knows what that's fo?

It has just about every Option Available for the truck, do you have any idea what it could be for on the other model?

 

Just did a little research and I'm 95% sure it's for the airbag switch how some of them you could turn off the passenger airbag.

 

3rd gen regular cab trucks only had airbag shutoff lower right on the dash. I would agree with the above, whether or not you could plug the switch in and use it on all models I'm not sure.

 

Airbag shut off switch for reg cabs only. Since it doesn't get used it gets plugged into a blank on the backside of the center bezel in quad cabs. Don't screw with it since that ties directly to your SRS.
