Check it out
Well, it's in the shop. Been there for a week and a half. They told me 2 weeks when I brought it there. All the paperwork will be taken care of through them. The guy doing the work rides as well, so I should be ok there and my friend knows the guys father who owns the place. I'm confident I'm in good hands. I think when I get it back, I'm going to sell it and the TransAm and get me something else. Maybe another Ram....not sure yet. KBB says the truck is worth about 23 for trade-in and 26 if I sell it myself. However, with gas prices being what they are, who is going to buy it? I still have to figure all that out.
If they have, I haven't been told. When I dropped off the truck, the guy said he didn't think it was going to be totalled. I guess I'll find out sooner or later. Should be later this week or next week.
They told me there was no frame damage, so I should be all good. I want to see what it looks like with the sun in the sky. It was about 5 when I picked it up so I couldn't get the best look at the paint. But from what I could see, it looked pretty good.
Well, I've noticed that when I'm going around 70 or so, I can still some wind coming in from the same side where I was hit. I'm going to call the guy that did it tomorrow and let him know and see what he says.

Just imagine the damage if those steps had not been on the side of your truck. It could have really crushed the rockers! Hope its as good as new after the repairs.
