Default 06 ram hemi starts hard

I've had this truck a few months. I bought it knowing it had a starting issue, but figured I could fix it. No luck so far. It's a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi. Has 189k miles. It turns over great, but doesn't like to catch. Not too bad when cold, but really bad when warmed up. Seems to help if I step on the gas pedal briefly sometimes. Runs excellent once it's running. The previous owner said he's been running it like this for 3 years. That doesn't work for me. I need it to start right up when I turn the key. So far I have changed the crankshaft position sensor, throttle body, plugs, coils, and injectors. What am I missing? What else can I try? I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

I forgot to mention that. Did a fuel pressure test a couple days ago. Great pressure at 60.

Do you have a GOOD scanner? Would be interesting to see what various sensors are telling the PCM.

I agree. My scanner is cheap and old. I'm going to buy a good one and see what it tells me. My guess is that I'm missing something small.

bluetooth obd2 reader and your cell phone with the torque app does a really good job... $11 for the adapter, torque is free, or get more capability for $5. You can see your codes, watch your sensors in realtime, etc...

You need three things
- a combustible fuel and air mixture
-Something to ignite that fuel air explosive mixture [spark, well timed]
-and compression

ALWAYS start by determining which of these things are lacking. (unfortunately, sometimes, perhaps all three)

What happens when you use aerosol ether as a fuel source?
...if she fires right up (no pedal play) and seems to run fine for a few seconds until it has consumed all that fuel, they you have a good ignition, so look towards fuel issue.
