My air compressor clutch/pulley is making rattling noises. Can’t buy a whole new air compressor at the moment to change it but want to know what air compressor does my truck need. For the mean time am I able to put on a different sized belt to bypass the compressor and what size would that be?

 

A/C compressor??? Should be a tag on it that tells you what it is. Might be able to get just the clutch as well. Much cheaper/easier to replace than the whole compressor.

 

Yes the a/c compressor. Have been to autozone and o’Riley’s but they don’t sell just the clutches. Would you trust the Amazon or eBay ones?

 

Check with the manufacturer of the compressor, they likely sell the clutch separate......

ac compressor ended up being from sanden and the model I have is discontinued. I found the belt I need thanks to old rope trick. Do y’all have any recommendations on a/c compressor brands. I’ve seen 4 seasons delco and the house hold products of auto zone and orileys.

 

I would trust Delco or Four seasons before the parts store brands.

 

I’ll be sure to look into those instead when the time comes
