Default 2007 Ram 1500 4.7 guages turn off and lights flash randomly while driving

Starting this morning on my way home from work, all of the dash lights came on and guages turned off for about a second then turned back on, then maybe 3 minutes later it did the same thing. I've already done a system reset (unplugging the battery and turning the lights on for a few minutes), checked the fuses and under dash connectors and they all seem fine. Battery is holding charge while the truck is off at 12.4V. I have not checked any of the sensors yet. Any idea what could be causing this?

Cluster is losing communication with the PCM, it doesn't know what to do, so, it 'panics'. The communications bus goes thru pretty much the entire truck, so, figgering out where the problem is, should be fun.....

I was hoping it wouldn't be that, I've had issues with one of the control modules for a while, things like the cruise acting like it's always on even when it says it's off and other small issues

That module may be the place to start..... I know on the older trucks, one sensor failing could bring down the whole shebang..... I have no clue how you would verify that is the issue though.
