P2106 & P2108, 03 Ram 1500 5.7
Odd one here... Was up in Big Bear yesterday on a ski trip. Left the parking lot of the resort to head to a Dennys when a couple minutes later I lose all throttle control. No idle issues, no backfires, no odd sounds. Lighting bolt on the dash. I idle into the Dennys parking lot, turn the truck off and back on and the throttle control is back.
Outside temp was about 34 degrees, truck had been off for about 8 hours. No other trouble codes. Crazy thing is, I swear the throttle is working better now than it was before. It's way more responsive.
Without any odd idle issues I'm leaning towards a mishap in the throttle body as the culprit, and the fact that I *know* the throttle body feels better now sort of makes me wonder if my throttle body has been on the fritz for a minute.
P2106 - Electronic Throttle Control System - Forced Limited Power
P2108 (2 parts..)
1.) ETC-ECM Malfunction
2.) Electronic Throttle Control Module Performance
Any feedback?

Is there a separate module for throttle control? Or are they referring to some other odd part? Might try an additional ground strap for the throttle body..... and if you have a scanner that can read it, see what the PCM think pedal position is when the failure happens. ('cause ya know its gonna happen again....)
