Default Fuel pressure 5.9 gas

2002 Dodge Ram 1500 For years I have had to cycle the key off and on three or four times to get it to start, it looses fuel pressure when sitting. Went to start it yesterday and it would start and and die instantly and wouldn't keep running. Now today it started up and runs fine again. I have a pressure gauge on it now and reads 47# pounds running and drops to zero when shut off. Anyone have any ideas?

Bad check valve on the pump module. Nothing new there. Pressure should be around 49PSI, but, yours is acceptable. What does pressure get up to at initial key on?

15# with one key turn. One thing I forgot to add is that if I park in the garage where it is sitting level I don't have to cycle the key

Yeah, that ain't enough. Pump is getting tired. It still works though, so wouldn't really worry about replacing it, just know ya have to cycle the key a couple times before starting. Why parking on the level doesn't need that, is a mystery to me.
