Alarm won't stop with new cluster
2002 Ram 1500
I had to replace my instrument cluster, the new one works great.
My truck has power door locks, and I bought a cluster that specifically said it was compatible with that.
The old cluster did not have an RKE module, but the new one does.
But after doing the swap, the alarm won't stop every time I open the doors.
Actually it was fine and I could open an close the doors, but after I locked the doors with the lock button, it changed and now every time I open the doors the alarm goes off.
Swapping in the old, semi-broken cluster, it does not do this.
I have no way of turning off the alarm other than disconnecting the battery. The truck did not come with any fob (it didn't have an RKE to begin with) and the new cluster didn't come with any fob.
I removed the RKE module, but it's still doing it.
I unlocked the doors from the inside of the cabin before opening the door, and it still makes the alarm go off.
Please help me fix this issue, I really need this new cluster to work.
