Default Rear leaf spring spacers between leafs?

Cheers everyone,

I am having some strange noise when driving over some holes at slower speeds and I checked the rear leaf springs and saw that there are small plastic spacers in between the individual leafs.
But it looks like some of them are worn out. Is that a common issue? And where can I get a replacement for them?
Thanks a lot for any help!

Those were likely factory installed, to keep the springs quiet. And yeah, they don't last forever. Don't know if you can get new ones from the dealer, or if you would have to go to a shop that specializes in springs....

How would you describe the sound if these were worn out? Wouldn't it be noisy ALL the time? Not only on bigger bumps at slow speeds?
I checked everything on Google but couldn't find any replacement. Dodge parts list also doesn't show them as separate part numbers...

The packs can squeak a bit if those spacers go out.

What's the noise? There's a million bushings on these trucks that can rot away...

Upper Control Arms (x2 bushings per unit) -> 4 bushings
Upper Ball Joint -> 2 total
Lower Control arms (x2 bushings per unit) -> 4 bushings
Lower Ball Joint -> 2 total
Sway bar bushings (x2)
Sway bar end links (x2 per unit) -> 4 bushings
Leaf springs (x3 per side) -> 6 bushings
Rubber engine mounts (x2) -> 2 rubber isolators
Transmission mount (x1) -> 1 rubber mount

if your unit is 4x4 half ton throw in two more impossible to find bushings for the torsion key crossmember.

Upper Control Arms (x2 bushings per unit) -> 4 bushings -> recently replaced
Upper Ball Joint -> 2 total -> recently replaced
Lower Control arms (x2 bushings per unit) -> 4 bushings - still old, but noise is coming from the back
Lower Ball Joint -> 2 total -> recently replaced
Sway bar bushings (x2) -> replaced several times...
Sway bar end links (x2 per unit) -> 4 bushings -> recently replaced
Leaf springs (x3 per side) -> 6 bushings -> Energy Suspension bushes in there since January
Rubber engine mounts (x2) -> 2 rubber isolators
Transmission mount (x1) -> 1 rubber mount

Heck, where are those bushings for the torsion key crossmembers?! What "part" do they connect to? When replacing the torsion bar keys I pulled out the torsion bars, no bushing there?!

Thanks a lot for that hint!

Checked these torsion bar crossmember bushings, they are totally fine.
Noise is coming from the back and it seems that the spacers are worn out.
I tried to find some online but didn't find anything. Wrote some companies here and they told me that they are not available anymore.
Are there any "universal" spacers available?

Any custom spring companies around you? Around here, most large cities will have at least one.... if you can find one, they should be able to find something for you.

Possibly Dorman 31067 spring insulators?????

I don't think so, no one over here really uses leaf springs, only some older cars and not many companies even do parts for them.

The main "problem" is, that all these aftermarket companies don't have any drawings/measurements on their websites. Really annoying.
These Dorman 31067 are at least available for me to order in Germany. Will give them a try maybe.

But to be sure, these "pads" will go between the leafs and stop them from "touching" each other. So a "universal" spring isolator will just need to be fixed to the springs, without falling out, and have the same outer dimensions so the leafs have a full contact over the total width. Right?

Thanks for your help!

Pretty much. I think they have 'ears', for lack of a better term.... they are supposed to fit into holes in the springs to hold them in place. But I think the stock fellers were pretty much the same.

You mean like some of these plastic trim retainers that have a pin pushed in to "spread" them so they won't fall out?

Would something like this work, too?
