i bought the truck and the dent must have been pointed upwards when i looked under it, it rides a little rough but i dont feel or hear anything coming from the driveshaft specifically. should i worry i mean do i need to have it replace or repaired and best idea of replacement cost i could prob do the labor but i have no idea the cost of the part. any and all help would be apreciated. thx yall.

then just live with it if it’s not causing problems. If it is, replace it.
It is a weak spot and if you were to put the truck under a heavy load .... lots of weight in the bed or a heavy trailer .... the drive line can twist in 1/2.
Or it will be the weakest link and the first thing to break. It is already damaged.
I had a 2 ton dodge truck that I backed down into a shallow ditch and was able to walk on and off it and loaded it with rail road ties.
It was a heavy load but not overloaded. put the truck in 1rst gear granny and was just going to ease it back onto the road ... truck never moved 1", drive line twisted in two right where the dent was.
Was a real pita because now I had to unload the ties and walk home to get another truck to tow it with
