I don't know if anyone else here has a camera phone or a digital camera but to prove we are not lying we should take a picture of our gas mileage in town and on the interestate to show others it is possible so there is no question. Anyone have gps cause its more accurate according to some so maybe we could also that that too. I know i will try and do it next time i'm driving to st.louis.

NO i wasn't implying u were lying or anyone here i was just saying we should prove the doubters wrong here. I do totally agree these trucks/hemis can get 19 MPG or 20 MPG. I know mine can and thanks for the Pics!

 

No problem friend. As I already stated, the 24MPG was the highest I saw it during the trip... For the entire trip, average was just over 18MPG. I am sure that if my truck had less weight (2WD instead of 4WD, and RC instead of QC) and a tonneau cover... 20MPG would be easy.

 

I have had my 06 1500 hemi since the begining of december. i can get my trip computer to say i get 22 mpg but that is only if i hit the reset button on the over head computer and let off of the gas but as soon as i step on the gas it drops to 19 mpg that is cruising @ 65 mph on i75. but through out the week with city driving it averages out to 16.5 mpg. On the other hand i had a 06 2500 cummins diesel and was averaging around 17.5 mpg before i totaled it!
