Default 2005 Ram 1500 SLT. Replacement mirror glass issue.

Hello. I’m attempting to replace the passenger mirror glass on my 2005 Ram. Bought the glass from EBay. I’m making zero progress and I’m wondering if the glass itself is the wrong part, or if the mirror motor base is missing something. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Mirror motor base.

Replacement glass back (I broke one of the metal prong clips).

I believe you are missing a piece. AM-Autoparts.com sells whole mirrors for a reasonable price.

Thank you. You think the mirror motor base is missing something, right? I did pop the old mirror out by running into a Sonic order window. I will check out the site you mention.

I think there is something that clips to the back of the glass, the attaches to the motor section...... I have NEVER had any success replacing those.... I just do the whole mirror.
