Voiding The Warrenty..
If you put on a lift, you will naturally run larger tires. The larger tires will cause more wear on the entire drivetrain due to the added weight and power it takes to turn them. So like everyone else said, if the tranny or t-case goes out, the money's comin out of your wallet. But if you're putting a lift on your truck, i hope you already know all that.
Hello all! I am new here trying to get more information as well.
I was told by my dealership that if I put ANY aftermarket intake, such as a cold air induction on my new '05 RAM Hemi, it will void the warranty, if I do not use the MOPAR cold air induction. They said if there is an engine issue at anytime, and they see it on there, the factory rep will void the warranty on the spot.
I am going down Wed. to talk with the owner, my sales man, and the shop forman to determine the options I have. I want to put the cold air, and throttle body spacer on this ram as well. I was getting excellent fuel economy with my 4.7, and so far my 5.7 is getting similar economy, and I think with these additions, I can get into the low/mid 20's for fuel economy...
Please post any comments.

I just got back from the dealer was told any engine mods will void the warrenty. Any kind of lift will void the suspension warranty and maybe more. And bigger tires could void the trans. warranty.
I have a 2005 Ram 1500. I bought a Mopar CAI from a Dodge dealership and it is installed on my truck. You go into any Dodge Service Department and they have plastered everywhere about thier "Mopar Performance Parts". I bought one. If a part that Mopar makes does something to my engine and they prove that it was the part they make, hell they are gonna pay for it anyway.
But, as it stands, they told me that it would not void my warrantee because it is a Mopar part. All of the Mods that I have put on my truck with the exception of the Tonneau cover is Mopar.
Here are a few:

Hey GA Hemi, Where are you located. I am acutally in TN.
McPhipps - That is what I had mentioned. If it is not a Mopar product, it will void the warranty. However, Up untill this year, they told me that nothing I had done would void the warranty, now with this truck it all would void the warranty.
I want to know why the AEM CAI will void my warranty, when their product which goes on the same way will not. That is limiting my options, and cutting out any completitors products. I believe that may be illegal, but it is definately not right. They have been sending people to the speed shops for aftermarket HP accessories, and telling people that it's ok, but now, all of a sudden, it will void the warranty. My sales man sent people to the speed shop last week, but now is checking into the warranty thing.

If you add a new CAI and it messes up your engine they will not fix it, same for exhaust, suspension, security systems, radios, super chargers, turbochargers. Well, you get the idea. Just fully think your next mod through.
Well damn, I was going to order my Borla split-side exhaust on Monday. However, now I'm having second thoughts. Borla supplies the exhaust system on the SRT-10 and the Daytona edition don't they? Then, if I add my exhaust system from the same company that should be ok, shouldn't it?
D/C, as well as most any other company, is going to do everything they possibly can to avoid shelling out any extra money at all. Therefore, if you mod your truck in any way, unless you pay them money to buy their parts and let them do it, they are going to nitpick you truck to death if you have any issues that need a warranty claim. Best thing to do, which is not paratical in all cases, is to keep the original parts and if an issue comes up, replace your mods with the original parts and say nothing at all.
Exactly. All my parts are in the boxes I got the new parts from. If I am in doubt, I will just change it back to the "original" parts, and they can figure it out if I changed anything or not.
