for the most part your entire warranty wont be voided with anything you add to your truck. they have to be able to prove that the aftermarket part caused the problem at hand and then they can choose not do the work under warranty. for instance.... if you put intake and exhaust on your truck and all of a sudden your radio stops working, they cant say no to repairing it because the exhaust has nothing to do with the problem, but.... if you supercharge your truck and you have engine problems, then most likely they will shut you down on your warranty work for that.

no the law states that no after market part can void the warrenty unless it can be shown that that part caused the damage. ie if you put headers on you truck and the lights go out they are still under warrenty, because the headers did nothing to the lighting systems.

the federal trade commision is who inforces the laws so direct all complants to them.

it'll void the suspension part of your warranty.

look at it this way...u replace the intake...all of a sudden the air sensor goes haywire.....probably the new intake..so they won't fix it. However, piston 1 stops firing.....they say it's cuz of the new intake.....but if they can;'t prove it...it's covered under warranty!

Read your owners manual. That is the Bible to live by. Mods due void warranties but not all warranties. If the truck was dropped, your suspension warranty is voided and most likely some drivetrain warranties such as u joints will also be voided.

Suspension Mods dont really affect your suspension warrenty for one reason, suspension parts are a wearable product and arent covered anyway. As far as performance parts go, like ti was said above, as long as the aftermarket product cant be procved to cause the problem , then the warranty has to be upheld

Unfortuntly I wish that was true, If say a Diesel ram pulls in with trans issues, Chrysler can void the coverage due to the fact theres velcro on the PDC. If the truck is lifted and documented that it is modified, and you have an issue with your transfercase or trans, the red flag goes up. Suspension parts are covered 3/36 and even longer if the vehicle has an extended warranty

only if the dealership can prove that the act caused the proplem. if you lift the truck and the tranny goes out they have to prove it was caused by the lift. and like i said you can dispute it with the federal trade comission
