I got the mopar hemi 6.1 cam( the stock cam used in std 6.1 hemis like the charger)...its a very popular upgrade where no tuning is needed after install unlike the comp cams. it's a very mild cam but is a definite upgrade compared to our stock 5.7 cams... what mods do you have now? If you haven't done it yet, go with the 4.56 gears first, that is the best bang for the buck. If I could do it all over again I would hav done the gears first.. (oh..I haven't installed the cam yet)

does it ever die? none of this matters - all it is, is what suits you best.

this is like the sportbike forums - doesnt matter which bike u get, they are all VERY competitively close. as are the trucks

i havent modded the truck yet...I'm waiting a little bit longer so that i can thoroughly research it and make sure i can make the most effective and safest mods to my truck. Did the 6.1 cam make that much of a differance? What kind of horsepower increase did it give you? it cant have been that much...can it? It does sound like a good idea cuz its not that much more aggressive and its still a Mopar part. With the differant gears, what kind of change did that cause in your vehicle? Was it more of a fuel economy or performance gain? I'm looking for a little more power but mainly better fuel economy, i definatley dont want to mod the car in a way that would give me slower performance or less power. I think an intake and exhaust combo will be first and then cams, then underdrive pulley. Killing Titans and good mpg, are my main goals, lemme know. Thanks

...the gears are a combo for speed an mileage...for speed, I like the low and mid range more than top end... so its much quicker off a light than normal and it just feels like the truck doesn't labor...since you get to the speed limit faster you save more gas...the point of diminishing returns is about 70 - 75ish mph... my friends who have installed the 6.1 cam noticed prformance gains from the git go..the truck breathes much easier and it seems like more gas is allowed into the pistons...i mean its an obvious difference...

with the cams, how much are they and is install expensive? the more i think about them, the more they sound like a good idea. Also, with the gears, at 75 does the truck accelerate slower? I'm wondering how this will affect top end because the Hemi's pull hard as hell from 50-85 and thats how i want it to stay.
